Abstract:
The case is a key part of the shooter,whose quality has a very important effect on the shooter's integrated performance.The case material is super-hard Al-alloy LC4,which has a bad plastic property,great flow resistance and velocity sensitivity.The design feature and correlation size relation of the case forging was analyzed and multi-way die forging process was decided.Blank shape and multi-way forging dies were designed.The final forging process was simulated by DEFORM-3D program and the variation of temperature field of the billet during forming was analyzed.According to the simulation result,the experiment was taken and qualified forging was obtained.The results prove that the employed process can efficiently ensure the forming temperature,increase plasticity and solve the forming difficulty of the material. The correctness of FEM simulation is also affirmed.
