Abstract:
In order to investigate the effect of process parameters on hydroforming of 3A21 aluminum alloy,the internal pressure loading path of hydroforming automobile front transom with profiled cross-section was studied experimentally in this paper.The formed appearance and distribution of wall thickness of two kinds of loading path were analyzed and compared.Through this investigation,it is revealed that bilinear loading path is much superior than linear loading path in formed appearance,distribution of wall thickness and can prevent defect.The thinnest thickness zone of this kind of item appears in the arc transition zone and it is easiy to have bursting defect.It is known that thickness of the zone is decreased by 12% even in the bilinear loading path.
