Abstract:
The principle of warm hydroforming was introduced.The formability of tube blanks of Mg-alloy and Al-alloy was tested.A Mg-alloy part with various cross sections and an Al-alloy tubular part with various diameters were manufactured.A warm hydroforming device with the highest medium temperature of 315 ℃ and the maximum pressure of 100 MPa was set up,which was capable of transmitting and sealing warm medium at high pressure,and controlling tube temperature and loading path.Testing and analysis on the formability of Mg-alloy and Al-alloy at various temperatures indicate that the effects of temperature on total elongation, uniform elongation and work-hardening-coefficient should be considered comprehensively to determine a proper forming temperature range.
