Abstract:
Aiming at a flow control forming(FCF) process which was newly conceived,in utilization of DEFORM-3D software,numerical simulation of deformation on stepped-hole of sheet metal was carried out.The function of the blank holder force(BHF)as well as its influence on the forming performance and forming accuracy of combined stepped-hole were analyzed.A preferable blank holder condition for this FCF process,which used rigid blank holder,was proposed.The value of blank holder force is about half of forming pressure,namely Q=0.5 P.Moreover,the blank holder condition is validated by technological experiments using Al plate on hydroforming machine.
