Abstract:
The process simulation of cross wedge rolling axis was done with the help of FEM software ANSYS/LS-DYNA.The reason causing torsional deflection of workpieces was analyzed.The rules that the factors,such as forming angle,spreading angle,area reduction ratio,friction coefficient and width of die void affecting the torsional deflection were summarized.The most efficient measures to reduce the torsional deflection were found.The study provides important theoretical basis for properly determining the technology parameters of cross wedge rolling and improving quality of workpieces.
