Abstract:

Productivity and precision are the principal problems to be solved in forging technology and design in order to increase the material utilization rate.A compound forging method for automobile transaxle driven gear was applied.The blank part was formed on flatdie hammer,its intermediate shape was formed by staving press and its finished shape was formed by friction press.This method extracts merits for the three forging technologies according to the reasonable operation arrangements.Compared to the traditional die forging method,17.5% material is saved.A good result is achieved on the aspects of technology and economy.
