Abstract:
The forging method with horizontal V-shaped anvil can provide technical method for axial forging with transverse mechanical property requiments.Through changing anvil shape and tissue flow direction,the forging method increases transverse mechanical property and improves the anisotropy of mechanical properties of axial forgings.There was a group of contrasting experiments on forging rectangular billet by the forging method with horizontal V-shaped anvil and the forging method with top flat anvil-bottom V type anvil.Through contrasting axial and transverse mechanical properties,special forging effect that conventional forging methods can not lead to is realized. The anisotropy of mechanical properties of axial forgings is improved by the forging method with horizontal V-shaped anvil,and the ratio of axial mechanical properties to transverse mechanical properties of the same position in forgings is about 1.0.
