Abstract:
On the basis of analysing the characteristics of friction in forward extrusion,the friction effect between extrusion container and billet on the forming process was researched using Deform-2D.The results show that the friction between extrusion container and billet can block the formation with fixed extrusion container,but when extrusion container moves with extrusion ram and is being extruded with active friction,it can reduce forming force and the metal flow is greatly improved,which will be helpful for promoting the quality of workpiece and die service life.
