Abstract:

To solve the common problems of blocking guide-board and shaft flat rolling during heavy section shrinkage rolling of cross wedge rolling,the method combining analytic geometry,finite element method(FEM) and experiments was adopted to analyze the force on the guide board,and the reason for guide board blocking and shaft flat rolling was found.The problems of blocking guide-board and shaft flat rolling could be avoided by adjusting the distance between guide boards and the centerline of the rolling mill,and keeping the phase positions of the up and down rollers consistent,which was very necessary for the rolling stability of heavy section shrinkage cross wedge rolling.The analyzing result provides useful references for avoiding the two defects.
