Abstract:
Near isothermal forging holding in homogeneous temperature pattern from specimen to die was proposed for the economic production of complex-shaped components.The results indicate that microstructure and tensile properties are sensitive to the temperature pattern,and low sensitization of microstructure and tensile properties to deformation and strain rate is benefit to NIF of IN718 alloy.Fine microstructure and stick interstitial phase at high dispersion processed contribute to the excellent plasticity under SIF at low temperature(at 980℃).Coarse microstructure with interstitial phase precipitated as acerose in boundaries improves the yield strength obviously processed under SIF at high temperature(at 1060℃).Tensile properties of the IN718 alloy processed under NIF at 1020℃and heat treated condition are significantly improved with grain size ASTM 10.
