Abstract:
The cup-shaped inner meshing gear was deformed by power spinning machine.Product defects,such as cracks,filling shortage of inner meshing gears appeared because of difficult process of stepped surface of mandrel and one-pass spinning with disc-shaped workpiece.A 3D finite element elastic-plastic model was used to analyze the gear spin-forming.The cause of product defects was studied qualitatively.The results show that the roll-pressing force on inner gear root is much higher,and tensile stress appears at the edge of inner gears,so billet cracks easily.The axial flow is considered as the main flow of metal,and therefore underfilling appears in gear tips.Through improving the structure of the mandrel and adjusting the process parameters,the qualified parts were produced finally.
