Abstract:
The inversion tube process by radiused die is presented after analyzing the inversion tube process by taper head die. The geometrical accuracy of the inversion tube is increased by using this kind of die. The characteristics of the inversion tube process by radiused die is analysed through studying the effect of the die radius on inversion load, quality and failure. According to the energy principle, the deformation model has been built and the equations for deteimining process parameters have been derived. The comparison of tube inversion process of LF21M tube shows that the equations presented in this paper can be used for determining the tube inversion process and the die parameters.
