Abstract:
The characteristics of the die appearance and metal deformation in the process of step shaping were analyzed in this paper. The cause of producing the spiral step and its region was discovered. The criterion that should be obeyed as designing the die transition of cross wedge rolling was expounded in theory. Contrasting and analyzing many schemes that are satisfied with the transition criterion, the way of cut-off step shaping was pointed out as optimum. Three principles of volume balance and its relevant formula were presented to solve the formula of step shaping curve. In the end, the shaping curve of oblique step was done with the principle of micro volume balance.
