Abstract:
Based on taking material properties and working condition into account of die for high speed hot die forging, this paper derived an equation used for thermal fatigue crack initiation cycles from well known Coffin Mansion equation and predicted thermal fatigul crack initiation cycles of die for high speed hot die forging. The prediction results tallied with experimental results.
