Abstract:
The automatic generation algorithm of quadrilateral elements for finite element analysis is studied in this paper. The paving algorithm is improved and its control sequence is redesigned. The elements are generated row by row or one by one, not layer by layer, from the boundary to interior until the entire zone is filled with elements. Several key techniques are also solved, including mesh intersecting, boundary smoothing, mesh smoothing and cleanup etc. Finally, the several meshing examples are given. The validity and reliability of the algorithm are proved.
