The cold sizing process after cold extrusion process of straight spur gear which used for camion was numerically simulated by software Deform-3D, and the gear direction deviations under different sizing amounts were obtained. Further, the influential regularity of sizing amount on gear direction deviation was summed up, and the suitable sizing amount was predicted. The simulation results show that gear direction deviation decreases first and then increases with the increasing of sizing amount. When the sizing amount is up to 0.15 mm, the minimum gear direction deviation is 0.026 mm and the magnitude of accuracy is level 8. The experiment of cold sizing process was carried out according to the simulation results, and the accuracy of cold sizing product was detected. Detection results show that after cold sizing the magnitude of gear direction accuracy increases from level 11 to level 8, which is consistent with the simulation result.
